Plan a Horseback Riding Vacation to Geronimo Trail Guest Ranch
Our main focus is on trail riding and seeing the beautiful scenery by horseback.
Rides are adjustable depending on what you want to do and how much you want to ride. We offer half day rides and we also love taking all day picnic rides as that allows us to explore farther away from the ranch and see more! Riders will enjoy the vastness and diversity of the terrain we have to explore in the 3.3 million acre Gila National Forest surrounding the ranch: open meadows, Ponderosa forest, views from high ridges and overlooks, and deep canyons with sheer cliffs and crystal clear spring fed streams running through them. Riders will also appreciate our sure-footed mountain horses. Whether you are looking for an adventure or a more relaxed ride to enjoy the scenery, this is the place for you!
While occasionally necessary due to the terrain, we make every effort to avoid nose to tail riding. We prefer you to keep some space between the horses, and where the terrain allows you can spread out if you like. We do offer some trotting and loping where the terrain allows for capable riders. While much of the terrain is rough and rocky, you will enjoy seeing the beautiful scenery in these places at a slower pace!
While we are not able to accommodate guests bringing their own horses to the ranch we have a wonderful group of 24 well-trained, responsive horses that you will enjoy riding during your stay with us.
Please keep in mind there is a rider weight limit of 240 pounds. Horseback riding requires a certain amount of physical fitness. These requirements help us ensure the safety and comfort of both our riders and horses.
We are open March through mid-November.
Give us a call or fill out the contact form for more information. We look forward to riding with you!
